Droppin a line...
Things are going well for me at school and work. We had our biggest week in sales at ArtStreet, with 4, thousand dollar days. We had our first BOD meeting this morning, where I got to speak to the board about my divisions and also new venture research I have been performing. I also met with Dr. Curran (President of UD) and Deb Bickford (Provost) to discuss a proposal I wrote to cater to their interest of having a new late night alternative to the students of the neighborhood (which is mainly keeping my cafe open on the weekends until midnight or even 2am!).
In OPS301 class three people came in from Price Waterhouse Coopers, all UD graduates, to discuss where they have taken their operations management degree. Turns out that we have one of the best programs in the country for this. PWC actually recruits UD seniors for their consulting division (yes consulting... right out of college) because of the things that we are learning here. After discussions with them 1 on 1 after class turns out they all were involved with FE when they were here! I got their business cards... another great network!
This is a shot from our first CHILL party at Dave's house (last year's roommate). It was a stormy night and the power cut out for several hours but we made the best of it. This has a handful of the people that work there that are also pretty good friends of mine.
(Left to right: back row: Dan, Dave, Liam, Me & Matt. front row: Erica, Cara & Lauren)
Cara and Lauren are the two that make up the management team with me at the CHILL... brains and beauty... watch out!
Bengals/Steelers game here was a blast. We had about 20 people over to watch the game, almost 50/50 split fans. Great to have the Moeller boys over along my PGH friends, kind of my two worlds came together.
Talk to you all soon,
Tone
